The Hiittenharju terrain is versatile area with lots of trails, and it provides excellent ground for MTBO. Most tracks are quick and well ridable, but there are even some more technical tracks on the ridge slopes, where the stones slow down.

Even though there is some elevation on the ridge, the wide and well-grounded trails ease the proceeding. The southern part of the area is relatively plain and offers a smooth ride. An old historical road goes through the map, and it has been marked with a special symbol. There are some slower parts around the gravel pits, but the weather conditions can have a significant impact on the rideability.

The middle distance and relay courses require precise orienteering, as the speed makes the performance more challenging. It is important to carefully study the Bulletin 2 and pay special attention to the forbidden area markings. The use of a bell is recommended to alert the other contestants as well as others in the terrain.

I wish you an enjoyable and successful MTBO race!
